AgileLaw can capture a video recording of your deposition session for you. Once a recording assistant is invited into a live deposition, it records the session and delivers a video afterward — with any paused time automatically trimmed out, so the recording reflects only the time on the record.
Early access. Session recording is an opt-in early-access feature. It isn't turned on by default — reach out to us if you'd like it enabled for your account. The steps below apply once it's enabled.
Turn it on
Once session recording is enabled for your account, switch it on for yourself in Settings → Labs → Session Recording Bot. (This is a per-user setting, so each person who wants to invite the recording assistant enables it once.)
Record a session
Start your deposition as usual.
In the live session, open the participant list and choose Invite Recording Bot. The recording assistant joins the room like any other participant.
Recording starts automatically once shared witness content is on screen — there's no separate "record" button to press.
Need to go off the record? Use the session controls to pause. Paused time is cut from the final video, so the recording matches the time on the record. You can resume at any point.
You can also arm the recording assistant ahead of time when you schedule the deposition, so it's ready the moment your session begins.
Find your recording
When the session ends, AgileLaw processes the recording and adds the finished video to the session's documents, alongside your exhibits — no separate download link to track down. Recordings now capture any video exhibits you played, keep their audio and video in sync, and are delivered noticeably faster after the session ends.
Who can invite the recording assistant: the deposition host. The feature must be enabled for your account (early access) and switched on in the host's Labs settings.
