Adding Documents to Concluded Depositions

Written by Skyler Lambert

Once a deposition is concluded, the documents that were revealed and the exhibit stamps that were added cannot be modified.

This is by design, to ensure the integrity of the exhibits that were introduced in the deposition and so our system can definitively state which documents were revealed in which deposition.

If you would like to add an exhibit to a concluded deposition, you can do so by following these steps.

First, if the document isn't already uploaded, upload it to the case.

Second, you must add the exhibit stamp before adding the document to the concluded deposition — once it is added, the stamp cannot be changed. Select the document, then click the add-exhibit (stamp) icon in the document toolbar to open the Pre-mark exhibit window and set the exhibit number.

Third, add the stamped document to the concluded deposition. Open the concluded deposition, expand the Unlinked Case Documents list at the bottom, then drag the document up into the deposition's document list.

Finally, AgileLaw warns you that the deposition has concluded and asks you to confirm. As the dialog notes, once added the document cannot be removed from the deposition and its exhibit stamp cannot be added or modified. If you want participants who already downloaded the exhibits to receive the new one, check Send an email to participants who have already downloaded the exhibits, then click Add document.
