You can pre-mark exhibits before a deposition — from the Case view or from the deposition's document grid — or mark them live during a deposition.
To pre-mark, select a document (or check several) and click the exhibit-stamp action icon. During a deposition, revealing a document that has no stamp prompts you to add one, and you can reopen the dialog at any time from the document's actions.
The exhibit dialog is titled Pre-mark exhibit before a deposition and Mark exhibit during one.
Change the number
The Exhibit # defaults to the next sequential number in the case. If this is the first exhibit you are marking, it defaults to 1. Exhibit numbers are unique to the case by default, so if the last number you used was 10 in a previous deposition, the next available number is 11. To use a different value, type a number, a letter, or a letter/number combination.
Position the stamp
Use the Stamp Location dropdown to choose where the stamp sits on the page: Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Top Left, Top Right, Custom, or No stamp. You can also drag the stamp directly on the page preview to reposition it.
Choose the stamped page
By default the stamp is placed on Page One of the document. Where cover pages are enabled for the case, the Stamped Page dropdown also lets you add the stamp to a blank or fitted Cover Page instead.
Click Mark exhibit (or Save when editing an existing stamp) to apply it. Clicking Cancel closes the dialog without adding a stamp — you can add one later from the document's actions during the deposition.
Remove a stamp
To remove a stamp, reopen the exhibit dialog and click Delete. When you remove stamps from several documents at once in the grid, AgileLaw asks you to confirm with a Remove Exhibit Stamps? prompt.
Note: You cannot change the exhibit number or location for documents that were marked as exhibits in previous depositions. Once a deposition is concluded, the exhibit number and stamp are permanently associated with the document.
